Get to know many of what we believe are to be some of aromatherapy's misunderstood essential oils (and some widely used oils too). Learn the chemistry and the safety guidelines. The medicinal, therapeutic and energetic benefits and applications of essential oils will be discussed extensively and demonstrated. Some of the oils studied are: Mugwort, Thuja, Star Anise, Hyssop and Wild Tansy to name a few.

Dive deep into the science and energetics! Learn the chemistry and energetics behind many of the "misunderstood" essential oils such as Mugwort as well as many widely used oils.

An essential oil contains many chemical components which makes the oil of aromatic therapeutic value. Know the chemistry and you will know the oil. Essential oils work in many ways but the key to the therapeutic value and safety of an essential oil is held in the chemistry of an essential oil.

Many essential oils can be used safely, when used with knowledge, in a controlled way and in the correct circumstances.

In this Mini Class, we will discuss:
  • The Science behind the different chemical families contained with essential oils
  • The chemistry and application of many essential oils that are not used widely in aromatherapy as well as many commonly used essential oils.
  • The energetics and application of many essential oils that are not used widely in aromatherapy as well as many commonly used essential oils.
  • The safety issues and contraindications of the essential oils discussed
  • The chemical components are not suitable for use in aromatherapy
  • Blends and formulation for each oil discussed
